THE AUTHOR

Giorgia Cappelletti
As a child she thought that archeology was a dusty profession. When she grew up, she discovered that not only is it dusty, but it is also muddy, sandy and stony … And it is also a lot of fun. As an archaeologist, she has traveled to distant countries, she has learned to roll up a turban on her head and get henna tattoos, she has slept under the stars and in ruined buildings, and has been amazed by a clutch of turtles just hatched from their eggs. She has seen the sea that sparkles at night and the air that trembles in the desert. Eventually, she decided that adventures are worth nothing unless they are told. Today she is a storyteller.
