Cards for learning how to plan, write and revise texts

Writing Pathways is an innovative teaching kit designed to simplify the teaching of writing, making the process clear and practical, breaking it down into a series of specific, guided steps, and guiding students, in a structured and conscious way, through the three traditional stages: conception and planning, drafting, and revision. Intended for boys and girls aged 10 to 15 who have already mastered the technical basics of writing, it is suitable from Grade 4 of primary school through to the first two years of upper secondary school.
This approach reduces both students’ reluctance towards teaching methods perceived as too technical or detached from their actual communication needs, and the excessive mental effort required for writing. The illustrated cards and posters make the logical and cognitive steps involved in text production clearly visible. Each card presents key questions, practical suggestions and hands-on activities, turning the act of writing into a real journey, supported by engaging visual metaphors.

HOW TO PLAY
The game guides children in writing a text through a simple and structured path. It starts with a prompt, and with the help of cards and posters, players follow step by step the key stages of writing: understanding what is required, gathering and organizing ideas, writing the text, and then reviewing it to improve.
The cards provide questions, instructions, and practical suggestions, helping players not to miss any important step and to move forward with confidence. In this way, writing becomes a clearer, guided, and more engaging activity.
