What Gender Does Violence Have

What Gender Does Violence Have

Data from the World Health Organisation on violence towards women indicates that an astonishing 1 out of 3 women (35% of the world’s population) have over their lifetime been subjugated to some kind of violence by a man, often in the first 16 years of their lives. 1 femicide out of 4 is carried out by a partner.

The data is alarming.

Despite awareness campaigns, unfortunately the phenomenon mostly remains hidden: 9 out of 10 times the crime is never reported.

Yet in relationships there are certain clear signs, real warning bells that should never been underestimated, even if they appear harmless.

Centro Studi Erickson, with their book What Gender Does Violence Have, offers a guide to the worrying signs never to be underestimated in a relationship.
