Why it’s important to recycle and how to do it best to help the environment

The impact of climate change on our society is significant; in fact, it has recently influenced how we choose, manage, and correctly dispose of the objects we use every day. Reducing the impact of climate change could be the most important challenge of our era.

How can we do this through simple and small actions?

Erickson is committed every day to promoting waste recovery by correctly carrying out separate waste collection. You too can follow the European guidelines under Decision 97/129/EC and help us recover reusable materials to create new objects.

And What About Books?

A house full of books is undoubtedly a lively and welcoming home, but sometimes there never seems to be enough space to organize them. If you no longer have room for your books, or don’t want to leave them collecting dust on your bookshelf or—in the worst-case scenario—in the attic, don’t throw them away!

There are several solutions for recycling your books (without having to put them in the paper bin). Here are a few:

  • Give them to a friend or an acquaintance.
  • Ask your city library if they have space on their shelves.
  • Take them to a charity market.
  • Ever heard of book sharing? Exchange your books with people from all over the world. There are groups on social media and websites that allow you to do this.
  • Find new purposes for your books!
