The series
The Writing and Reading Workshop (WRW) is the most popular approach to teaching and learning reading and writing. Born in the United States in the Seventies, developed at Columbia University and also widespread in Italy in recent years, the WRW method can be used in both primary and secondary schools. The approach offers a writing workshop with mini-lessons and materials ready for the teacher and tools to plan other work programmes based on the skill level of the class. In a rigorous but flexible framework, children and young people experiment from a workshop perspective with the possibility of writing authentic texts focusing on their personality and interests. All editorial and training proposals in the Writing and Reading Workshop Method are in collaboration with the Italian Writing Teachers group. For primary school
