To develop the skills of children and young people who show communication difficulties in the field of pragmatics, it is necessary to pay attention to the processes involved in the use of language. Pragmatics in conversation proposes 10 operational programmes, corresponding to the fundamental elements that make up the analysis of speech and conversation, with particular attention to the processes involved in the use of language in communication contexts and the need to develop and consolidate skills to overcome communication difficulties.

Each programme consists of a theoretical premise and instructions to the operator for the use of the practical worksheets, which can also be downloaded in the colour version from the online resources. The volume is also accompanied by colour attachments:

  • more than 200 cards to learn the alternation of turns in conversation, build an effective organization of dialogue and practice pragmatic skills;
  • 6 facilitators, 6 scenario cards and 2 feedback sheets to stimulate the expression of information that goes beyond the Description;
  • 70 sentences divided by topics translated into AAC symbols, suitable for preschool or school age children who do not yet have access to reading;
  • 1 game board to play games with the different skills learned.
