Podcast Your English 2 is a holiday homework workbook for English designed for Year87 (the second year of lower secondary school).

Starting from listening to podcast episodes and moving through reading activities, the book develops across six episodes that balance Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking skills, while consolidating grammatical structures and expanding vocabulary.

Each unit opens with an idiom — a typical expression from spoken English — and the skills work is organised into three key stages, highlighted by specific icons:

  1. a preparation phase with predictions and anticipatory thinking;
  2. a central phase focused on comprehension and in-depth work;
  3. a final phase of revision and reflection to consolidate learning and correct any errors.

At the end of the course, students can record their own episodes, talking in English about experiences, ideas and adventures. In this way, the language does not remain an abstract exercise but becomes a tool for self-expression.

  What if your summer English revision became your very own podcast? With Podcast your English, middle school students listen, read, write and speak — episode after episode — until they record their own voices in English. Each unit starts with an idiomatic sentence, works on listening, reading, speaking and writing, and ends with a moment of reflection to consolidate what has been learned.
