The book presents a new and original approach to the geography topics – from the first to the third years of lower secondary school – which consists of a denotative and interpretative reading of the elements of geography.  This approach helps students connect the various elements of geography to their experiences and their daily lives.

The book is divided into 4 sections accompanied by more than 30 laboratory activities:

  • The use of satellite photos together with geographical maps;
  • The analysis of street art works;
  • The comic stories of Corto Maltese;
  • Reading picture books.

Attached to the book there are 10 color plates that allow the teacher to carry out the activities quickly and easily.

Section 1 – Physical maps, satellite photos and imagery
Section 2 – Knowing and describing places and geography through street art
Section 3 – Whoever finds an image finds a treasure. The geography of Corto Maltese
Section 4 – Geographical education through the language of illustrated books
