Points of view: Stereotypes and Prejudices

We often interpret the world around us based on our social and cultural background, our values, and our personal experiences. For this reason, the same situation can be viewed from different perspectives, and there isn’t necessarily a right or wrong one.

This game is designed to encourage middle and high school students to reflect, express their own point of view, and observe and embrace those of others. Through a set of 50 flashcards, this tool highlights biased attitudes or stereotypes that are often expressed unconsciously, as well as comments, seemingly “harmless” phrases, and sayings that conceal subtle forms of discrimination. It also provides teachers with the tools to lead classroom discussions in an informed and sensitive way.
