We often interpret the world around us based on our social and cultural background, our values, and our personal experiences. For this reason, the same situation can be viewed from different perspectives, and there isn’t necessarily a right or wrong one.
This game is designed to encourage middle and high school students to reflect, express their own point of view, and observe and embrace those of others. Using a deck of 50 flashcards depicting events or situations that have occurred online — closely tied to young people’s everyday lives — teachers are equipped with tools to guide classroom discussions appropriately. To do this, teachers will be provided with a series of argumentation techniques suited to the situations, as well as thought-provoking questions to encourage reflection.

How to play

The teacher selects a scenario and reads it to the entire class. The discussion unfolds in stages as indicated on the back of the card.
After identifying the recommended technique and setting up an appropriate group arrangement, the teacher presents the first question to encourage an initial moment of individual reflection.
The teacher poses prompting questions, following the discussion framework outlined for the suggested technique.
Key issues raised by participants during the discussion are noted on the board, so they can be analysed together and linked back to one of the 10 principles outlined in the Manifesto. The relevant flashcard is then taken to read its content to the class.
