This volume was created to provide concrete, validated tools for those who care daily for a person with aphasia and face the challenges of everyday communication.
It presents two innovative and complementary tools:
- The ACCA-cl Scale, an assessment grid that allows for a structured evaluation of the caregiver’s communicative competence, helping to guide intervention;
- The TIC-TAC Method, a practical and flexible training programme designed to help the caregiver become an effective conversational partner, even in the early stages of aphasia.
Through theoretical foundations, operational protocols and clinical examples, the volume shows how these tools can be integrated into rehabilitation practice to improve interaction quality, support the autonomy of the person with aphasia, and reduce the caregiver’s emotional burden.
