The Dominoplay series, conceived by Flavio Fogarolo, offers fun, didactic games which are variations on the classic game of dominoes and are excellent for supporting learning and automatisms in calculations and reading and writing.

Dominoplay gives children immediate control over the accuracy of their matches: in fact each card has a multi-coloured edge, a sort of colour bar code, which identifies the quantity represented even if it is presented under a different guise. If children try to pair up dominoes with different values they’ll realise their mistake immediately.
Thanks to this effective checking system, children can play dominoes on their own without needing the constant supervision of an adult.
Dominoplay is a fun didactic tool and is ideal for encouraging inclusion: by carefully choosing the groups of dominoes all children can learn and have fun!

This box in particular allows children to develop the phonological prerequisites which form the basis of learning how to read and write, by concentrating on the first syllables of words.

Each game is divided into two levels of increasing difficulty and you can choose to play with only the dominoes belonging to the first level, or the ones belonging to the second level, or the whole pack.

Each box contains 48 playing dominoes, which can be chosen according to level so that personalised and inclusive activities can easily be organised.

Giocadomino enables children to have instant control of the right matches: in fact, each element has a multi-coloured edge, a sort of colour barcode, which identifies the quantity represented, despite being presented under a different guise. If children try to pair up dominoes with different values they’ll realise immediately.

Thanks to the effective checking system, they can play independently without needing the constant supervision of an adult.

THE CHECKING SYSTEM!

Playing the game

  • Shuffle the pack and deal 4 to 6 dominoes to each player; if there are a lot of players reduce the number of dominoes dealt. Place the remaining dominoes in a pack in the middle of the table.
  • You can decide to place your dominoes face up on the table or hidden in your hand. Place a domino face up on the table.
  • The first player attempts to add one of their dominoes to the first one by matching two boxes with the same quantity.
  • To check that the quantities actually are the same, check that the colours match.
  • Each player then tries to add their dominoes to the ones on the table.
  • Dominoes can be added to any free side, the same domino can be used several times as long as it does not incorrectly touch any other dominoes (different quantities and therefore colours which don't match) already on the table.
