Card playing has for generations been an extremely useful activity for helping children learn mathematics, memory, strategies and social rules. This book offers 27 games both with traditional cards and those developed by the authors, which are graded according to age or level required: from the simple recognition of a card and thus a quantity, to numbers, calculations, developing strategies and finally problem solving.

The individual games are integrated with several variations of an inclusive or collaborative type or those designed to emphasise strategic or cognitive characteristics. The book comes complete with a pack of 84 “Twenties” cards, where the numbers of the suits reach 20 and also include zero. Many of the games suggested in the book have been designed or adapted to be played with these unique cards, which offer a much wider range of exercises compared to traditional cards.
