Cooperative learning (CL) is a teaching/learning method which is centred on group activities and has been demonstrated to be extraordinarily effective both in promoting the development of social competences, and enhancing and stimulating – as required by national curricular guidelines – different intelligences and attitudes. It is for this precise reason that it is also particularly suited to encouraging integration of children and adolescents with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and behavioural problems.

In this book, on the basis of class experiences and analyses conducted with scientific conscientiousness, the authors show how cooperative learning can be effectively used from an inclusive perspective.

Divided into two parts, a theoretical introduction and a practical part, the book contains:

  • 20 example activities (activities aimed at group forming and for encouraging a cooperative class environment, simple cooperative activities and complex cooperative activities);
  • over 30 ready-to-use worksheets for class work;
  • questionnaires for analysing the class group (integrated SDAI/ Relational ability questionnaire and questionnaire for sociometric study).

It thus constitutes a complete, invaluable practical guide for teachers, educators and, in general, anyone who is interested in various capacities in education and inclusive practices.
