Stimulating activities with the elderly

This book, which has been shaped out of real experiences in a care home, is a practical, complete manual aimed at improving the welfare of disabled elderly through the development of cognitive abilities or the maintenance of residual intellectual abilities.
The book is divided into three parts: in the first part there is a small introductive section, with essential information for carrying out recreational and rehabilitative activities, while the second part is wider and purely practical. The last part presents a complete programme, which goes from the planning, to exercises and evaluative grids.
Activities are divided into six sections:

– Dynamic activities
Goals, operating methods, necessary materials and required levels of functionality are indicated in detail for each exercise or game, planned or modified to stimulate the cognitive and non-cognitive resources of each individual.
