Only One, Well Done<\/em> is the first volume of a new editorial series<\/strong> created in collaboration between Erickson <\/strong>and Scuola Holden<\/strong>, a famous storytelling school located in Turin. The book includes three short stories<\/strong> in which the protagonists <\/strong>(Marta, Simone and Angela) are young people of different ages who face – each in their own way and for different reasons – a recurring problem in the younger generations: they commit acts of self-harm<\/strong>, inflict pain and marks on their own bodies to find relief from an inner suffering that they are unable to communicate and for which they are unable to ask for help.<\/p>\n

Through the pen of rising young writers<\/strong>, close to the language and experience of the protagonists, the stories manage to involve both children and adults. At the end of each narration we find the technical commentary by Stefano Vicari<\/strong>, head of child neuropsychiatry and one of the most famous in the field, who explains the meaning of self-harming acts and gives advice on how to recognise the signs, to prevent them and – when needed – intervene.<\/p>\n

Each story is enriched by the evocative illustrations<\/strong> of young artists from the Academy of Fine Arts based in Palermo.<\/p>\n
