A game – created by Carlo Carzan, the “play master”, and Sonia Scalco \u2013 that encourages tactile, manual and attention skills in children through listening to \u201cpreposterous\u201d fairy tales. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Every year in the Kingdom of Ludus there is a festival dedicated to fairy tales.<\/p>\n

But this year, during the night, some strange elements entered the stories, completely changing their meaning. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Can you find these items? <\/strong>To do this, you will have to rely on your sense of touch, find the intruder and put the fairy tales in the correct order.<\/p>\n

Tactoo <\/strong>is a game geared towards children ages 5 and up, from the \u201cKingdom of Ludus\u201d series.  The games in this series stimulate not only the child’s cognitive area, but also the physical, emotional and relational areas as well.
\nIn particular, Tactoo, <\/strong>focuses on the following areas:
\n\u2022 attention
\n\u2022 concentration
\n\u2022 tactile and manual skills
\n\u2022 narrative abilities<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

4 game pieces and a game board to keep track of points. The points chart is on the back of the box<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The game is intended for 2-4 players, ages 5 and up. Each round lasts for about 15 minutes. <\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Game objective<\/p>\n

Recognize the various characters and objects that belong to the fairy tales by touch. The player who can identify the most will be proclaimed “The Great Narrator”.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Game set-up<\/p>\n

\u2022 Each player takes a bag with 12 different cut-outs in it<\/p>\n

\u2022 The Tactoo cards are shuffled, and the first 8 are placed face-down beside the Narrator.
\n\u2022 The Fairy Tale cards are shuffled and placed in the centre of the table.
\n\u2022 Each player takes a game piece and puts it on the starting space of the game board.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

How to play<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

One of the players, or an adult, who will perform the part of the Narrator takes a Fairy Tale card and begins to read the story.<\/p>\n

Each time that he\/she sees this symbol , the Narrator must flip over the first card in the Tactoo deck.<\/p>\n


\nAt this moment, all players say the phrase \u201cHands in the fairy tale\u201d and using one hand only, they must find the corresponding cut-out.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

<\/p>\n

\n\t\t<\/p>\n

When a player thinks they have found the correct cut-out, he\/she pulls it out of the bag:
\n\u2022 if it is correct, he\/she stops the game by saying \u00abTACTOO\u00bb
\n\u2022 if it is incorrect, he\/she puts it back in the bag and continues to search
\nIt is absolutely forbidden for the players to look in their bags.
\nThey must only use their sense of touch to find the cut-out.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n\t\t<\/p>\n

The first player to find the correct cut-out wins the corresponding card.
\nEveryone puts their cut-outs back in their bags and the Narrator continues reading.
\nThere must always be 12 cut-outs in the bag at all times.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n\t\t<\/p>\n

As soon as the story is finished and all the cards have been distributed, the points on every Tactoo card are added up, and the game pieces are moved the corresponding number of spaces on the game board.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

The winner<\/p>\n

The player who reaches 36 points first wins, or alternatively the person who has the most points after three fairy tales wins the title of \u201cThe Great Narrator\u201d.<\/p>\n

The game also includes variations which permit it to be adapted to younger or older players.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
