The BVN 12-18 is a battery of tests for the neuropsychological evaluation of the main cognitive functions (language, memory, perception, attention, etc.) for adolescents aged 12 to 18, which complements the BVN 5-11 for childhood. It enables clinical psychologists and neuropsychologists to identify individual disorders in specific areas and to define a general profile of mnemonic, praxic and visual-spatial competences etc. The book provides a summary of the theoretical and empirical data available regarding brain and neurofunctional development in adolescence, norm data and psychometric data and some examples of applications in a clinical setting. It also contains an Examiner’s Manual, which provides information necessary for the correct administration of the tests, the Registration Protocol for attributing and summarising scores and the Test Booklet, containing the material to be given to the adolescent. Norm data were obtained from a representative sample of Italian adolescents aged 12 to 18.
