Among a special needs teacher’s skills is without a doubt the ability to use new teaching technologies skilfully, fitting them to the needs of pupils with SEN in order to encourage a structurally inclusive learning environment in class. Despite the wealth of ready-to-use multimedia teaching material, in personalising the inclusive intervention different needs often arise, which cannot be met by just using existing products.
The book deals with the topic of self-made multimedia products and provides practical instructions, suggesting a series of authoring tools which are simple yet effective, are often free and allow the teacher to implement quality teaching programmes in reasonable time frames without having to contend with complex IT training courses.
The book can also be used as a practical guide for specialisation courses in special needs, which require, at the end of the period of training on communication and information technologies (I.T.C.), the creation of a multimedia product designed for special didactics using these technologies.
