This book is about dyslexic geniuses, drawing together 15 stories of famous dyslexics, who have lived the life of many, having overcome or circumnavigated obstacles strewn along their path, achieving their dreams and desires. From Carlo Magno to Einstein to Newton and finally Tom Cruise, the dyslexic geniuses spotlighted in this book are attempting to help youths, who are often taken by surprise when confronted with their diagnosis and are left incredulous or dubious about what it means or what it has meant for them. Each famous person is introduced with a factsheet which outlines their main characteristics and their peculiarities. The stories of famous dyslexics (some of whom are presumed to be such, others who definitely are) can help in understanding the problem and the ways it can be dealt with.

A book which will help children and teenagers understand that a diagnosis of dyslexia does not mean having to give up doing the things they like or not being able to become what they dream of.

The result of the authors’ experience, a well-know speech therapist and a dyslexic physicist, the book suggests using the biographies for therapeutic purposes. It has already been tested with success in the United States and is printed in a special font which will make reading easier for dyslexics.

Contains an exclusive interview with Henry Winkler, Fonzie from “Happy Days”, and the creator, together with Lin Oliver, of Hank Zipzer.
