Teaching handwriting well from the start is better than having to teach handwriting again later—bad writing can derive from bad teaching. This book presents a method resulting from a ten year experience  in pre-school and primary school teaching.
The authors show how students can move from pre-writing to writing in capitals and italics in a continuous and spontaneous transition. Children learn to master writing in a natural, effortless and playful way by internalizing movement, posture and handgrip. Beside the many suggestions and examples on how to apply the method to the different school grades, the authors devote much attention to dysgraphia—what it is, how to recognize it and how to prevent it.
