The MATHEMATICS workshop 1 presents an in-depth practical programme rich in ideas for the mathematics curriculum in the first three years of primary school, with detailed instructions on organising and carrying out the activities for the teacher and over 200 worksheets and various material for the pupil.

The workshop becomes the transversal principal of the book, in which every pupil, according to their unique combination of skills, resources and personal characteristics, thinks and works from a participatory viewpoint, using a multitude of learning methods.

In this way fully inclusive learning situations can be achieved, which can be used to tangibly employ knowledge, skills and thoughts in meaningful and stimulating tasks for all pupils.

Together with the other books in the THE… WORKSHOP series, this first book of mathematics offers primary school teachers didactic programmes for skills which are flexible and complete, are centred on the new way of teaching and are designed to develop the essential competences set out by the MIUR national guidelines, adopting the workshop methodology in a coherent and innovative way.
The CD-Rom which comes with the book contains extra printable material and skills tests, bringing to an end the programme of workshops.
