Thanks to a gradual programme of increasing levels of difficulty children, together with Jason and Summer, will go through the main topics of the English language studied at primary school and at the end of the programme will reach level A1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

THE METHOD

Monster English is based upon a communicative approach to the English language. Each topic is developed around the gradual presentation of words and communicative functions. As the level of difficulty increases, the number of words increases and communicative functions are presented in positive, negative and interrogative forms, giving children the opportunity to learn functional language so they can express their opinion about the topics they deal with.

The series is made up of 5 exercise books, which are written for the corresponding years at primary school but can also be used individually for extra-scholastic learning.

ACTIVITIES

The five exercise books contain the main topics studied at primary school: from grammar to lexis and communicative functions.

Each unit provides children both with individual exercises and fun activities together with games to be carried out as cooperative learning in pairs or small groups. In addition, there are plenty of online resources (PDF worksheets to print, audio files and keys to the exercises) and an illustrated dictionary, containing all the words presented in the five units.
