This volume proposes a new didactic approach to geography, critical and exciting, enriched by travel stories, reality tasks and interdisciplinary connections. The contents of the discipline are integrated with the horizon of meaning stimulated by reflection and narration.

The activities in this volume allow children to refine the tools to “readthe landscape and deepen the great problems of sustainability and development on the planet, recovering the aspect of discovery and exploration of a territory, of the physical and human characteristics that distinguish them, and cultural manifestations which materialize in the spirit and attitude of the trip.

The book is divided into 8 thematic units, from the landscape to the city, from the country to the continents, from relationships to the beauty of the world. At the end of each unit, possible interdisciplinary connections and reality tasks are presented that give the children the opportunity to experience what they have learned in a perspective of building skills.

A journey towards somewhere
Somewhere is a fascinating concept that restores value to the world flattened by Everywhere. The idea is to revisit a topic that has the power to be intimately connected to us and everything that exists around us. Geography is no longer objective knowledge, but an overwhelmingly subjective matter. The educational itineraries proposed in the volume show the sensitivity of the traveller who activates the receptors of the five senses and of the soul by crossing into different spaces. Every trip has a soul to grasp, which is not bought in a tourist package, but which you learn to interpret through educational and experiential activities that can start right from the school desk.
