The ABC of my emotions 8-13 (CD-ROM)

Based on the best-selling book The ABC of my emotions – 8-13, the new edition of The ABC of my emotions 8-13 programme aims to provide an update on the latest results of Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy, in particular on the aspects that deal with intervention in pre-adolescents.
Through a series of activities based on the Rational Emotive Education method (REE), children and pre-adolescents learn to control their emotions and to recognise their underlying mental mechanisms, thanks to useful advice which is given during the learning process on how to best tackle typical tricky situations, from misunderstandings with schoolmates to anxiety at school.
The programme aims to help children learn to minimise the impact of unpleasant feelings, presenting at the same time the experience of positive emotions in order that children gain confidence, self-esteem and general emotional wellbeing. It order to reinforce this, two games are included, one with emotions cards and an original board game, where the element of challenge becomes an incentive for children to reason and answer the questions on emotions correctly.
