The CD-ROM
Tina the little mole has a birthday today! Help her organise a wonderful party with lots of friends who will help her win fantastic prizes to share with everyone. Go with Tina as she hands out the invitations and help her overcome all the challenges so she can throw the best party ever! Designed for playing and having fun whilst stimulating visual-spatial abilities, the CD-ROM offers a variety of fun activities for testing children’s abilities and skills with paths, labyrinths, figures, shapes, colours and play environments, which will capture the attention of even the youngest players. Each game is structured around levels of increasing difficulty according to the player’s ability. The better you get, the harder they get. Timed games, lives to earn, obstacles to overcome and points to accumulate will ensure that children test their visual and spatial abilities whilst playing with Tina and the other characters.
All the games have a precise educational and didactic goal which is ideally suited to the age of the young players who, by having fun, will develop and build their abilities in spatial orientation, visual perception, image analysis, visual and spatial attention, localisation of figures in a space, co-ordination, dexterity and deftness of movement, all by concentrating and using logic. Children can play intelligently, testing themselves and their own capabilities, without sacrificing fun.

THE BOOK
Other than presenting the CD-ROM and providing some tips for effective use, the book contains a series of practical suggestions for setting up activities, organising games and using the printouts from the CD-ROM at home too. So not only the computer can be used to play but also other material and the child’s own body, in order to have fun with visual-spatial abilities, at the same time encouraging the relational, emotional and body sphere, of fundamental importance at this young age.
